What began as a compilation of experiences during the Gorman family's time with the military, from active duty in Hawaii, to the reserves and a reserve deployment, has moved beyond. It's the ups and downs, the transitions, the frustrations, and the joys of every day. In 2016, blogging more than Jennifer, Gandalf & Nora took over as the primary bloggers, with Jennifer as a background narrator.

Kitty Blog 2 from Gandalf the Grey
Gandalf here again. It was a hard morning. Jennifer didn't move today. She needed nurse-cat services from both Nora and me. I did my duty all morning. It's amazing how tiring sleeping with your needy human can be. Plus, what an appetite I worked up being warm and sweet. Finally Sean came home to feed me lunch. Jennifer was hungry too. Nora's taking the afternoon shift, and I'm taking a break. I need a nap.

Love these posts...and I hope you're doing OK. A pretty sneaky way of getting out of preparing for Shabbat, if you ask me. I may be facing foot surgery myself in a while (we'll see after MRI next week) so I may be seeking some podiatric, not to mention rabbinical, advice from you in the near future.

Thanks Judy. I'm recuperating. Foot surgery tends to hurt post-op due to gravity, but if you are careful for the first week it heals quickly. I have the same surgery in the other foot 15 years ago. I also had the benefit of working in my uncle's podiatric office in NYC before I met Sean. Keep me posted.
